At today’s PMQs Nadine Dorries stood tall in the Chamber in a golden dress. Was she standing up to Rishi Sunak for refusing her a peerage or had she dragged herself in from an all-nighter, could it be both?
A picture from today’s session leaves one to wonder. If it wasn’t her, then she should stand in as a Dorries look-a-like.
More of that in a moment though…
Let’s look back to a couple of days ago when she told Piers Morgan: “This story is about a girl from Liverpool who had something that was offered to her removed by two privileged posh boys.”
As the Piers Morgan Uncensored account tweeted: “Nadine Dorries blames Rishi Sunak and James Forsyth for not getting the peerage she says Boris Johnson promised her.”
Nadine Dorries said “sinister forces” denied her a seat in the House of Lords.
The MP was one of Boris Johnson’s close allies who didn’t appear on the former PM’s resignation honours list.
One does wonder why she cares?
PMQs Nadine Dorries
In turns out Nadine Dorries has still not formally resigned as an MP.
This is another attempt to frustrate PM Rishi Sunak’s attempts replace her.
It has been five days since the former cabinet minister announced her intention to “immediately” step down.
Boris Johnson and Nigel Adams, who announced their intentions to immediately quit hours after Dorries, have both officially resigned.
Now here is Nads in all her glory or in a sorry state?
Is she looking to beat up Rishi Sunak in Parliament’s car park and force him to give her a peerage?
Time will tell…
