Victoria Derbyshire, on BBC2’s Newsnight, was at it again, this time making a Tory look very silly.
Tory MP Bob Seely denied ever calling the House of Commons privileges committee that investigated Boris Johnson a ‘kangaroo court’.
It comes as The House of Commons voted to accept the privileges committee report on the conduct of former prime minister Boris Johnson during Partygate.
It was a resounding result, with 354 MPs voting to approve, while just seven voted against.
Mr Johnson branded the committee a “kangaroo court” wheh he stepped down as an MP earlier this month and claimed that it was part of a process to try to undo Brexit.
Victoria Derbyshire
Returning to Derbyshire, she had done her research, and it turns out he was telling porky-pies.
He had slammed the committee as a Kangaroo court and he had done it on (drum roll please) NEWSNIGHT.
Seely even tried to claim he wasn’t on the show.
The internet never forget and neither does Victoria and her team it seems.
Here is their clash last night’s programme, and then cuts to Seely’s earlier Newsnight appearance.
