It is Brexit Day and there are street parties across the land. Ok there isn’t, but Nigel Farage’s Brexit day video is doing the rounds on social media.
Failed politician Nigel shared the video and wrote: “Happy Brexit Day! If we have to fight this all over again, then we will.’
Priti Patel is pretty chuffed it seems, she tweeted: “The 23rd of June 2016 will be an historic day in our islands story. The British people voted to be a free and sovereign nation once again. I am proud to have played my part in securing that freedom. Now it’s time we made the most of it.”
Nigel Farage’s Brexit day video
Nigel Farage also told GB News he has polled the British public to gauge whether there is an appetite for his political return.
He told Patrick Christys: “I polled this recently, the figures say four million would vote for me tomorrow.
“That’s before any campaign or announcement that I am interested in doing it again.
“We can get that up to five million, we can get that up to 17/18 per cent of the national vote.
“I believe that even under First Past the Post (FPTP), that is achievable.”
Reactions
James O’Brien isn’t too taken with Farage’s video. LBC tweeted his rant and wrote: “‘If God forbid I was Nigel Farage, I’d be absolutely insistent that if only I’d been in charge with my long track record of, well…things!’
On the seventh anniversary of the Brexit vote, @mrjamesob swipes at the ex-UKIP leader and those still adamant that it has been a success.
Other people were not so complimentary about Brexit day and/or Nigel Farage’s message.
