The world of politics, and the world in general, throw up curve balls by the minute. To kick off with Hugh Grant tweeted that Keir Starmer was at the Murdoch annual party.
He tweeted: “Depressing if true.”

And it is true! Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer were among those attending the event at Spencer House in London on Thursday, reports the Evening Standard.
It comes after a judge ruled that a claim by actor Hugh Grant over alleged phone hacking by The Sun newspaper, which is published by Mr Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN), could proceed to trial.
Grant also shared this video about the Murdoch’s by campaign group Led By Donkeys.
Ken Loach and the Pope
So what has this to do with Ken Loach and the Pope?
While Starmer and Murdoch were rubbing shoulders, over in Rome a different conversation was taking place.
Loach was with a group of artists praised by the Pope himself.
The event was part of a broader effort to engage with artists as the Roman Catholic Church did in the past.
Pope Francis also urged them to pursue social justice through their work, reports The New York Times.
Expelled
The veteran leftwing film-maker Ken Loach was expelled from the Labour party, reported The Guardian.
It followed reports that the Labour leader, Keir Starmer, was preparing to support a purge of factions vocally supportive of his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.
However, one person who does give seem to give Ken the nod is none other than…the Pope.
