Laurence Fox’s bank account has been closed, or has it…
He is very angry with Barclays, after Nigel Farage claimed his bank accounts had been closed.
It all began on 29th June when Nigel Farage shared a video and wrote: “The establishment are trying to force me out of the UK by closing my bank accounts. I have been given no explanation or recourse as to why this is happening to me. This is serious political persecution at the very highest level of our system. If they can do it to me, they can do it to you too.”
However, could this be ‘one of the reasons why “man of the people” Nigel Farage has been cancelled by “people’s bank” Coutts & Co?’ asked Chris Shaw on Twitter and shared a video of Farage being doorstepped about his finances.
Laurence Fox’s bank closed
So back to Mr Fox and he tweeted: “Dear @Barclays bank I have banked with you for 20 years. I would like to withdraw all my money from your bank in cash on Monday morning. Current account and savings. The lot. Please advise as to any documentation you require to facilitate this withdrawal.”

Laurence Fox bank update
Then this morning he update social media writing: “By lunchtime everything I have bar £100 will be transferred from my
“@Barclays current account and savings account to a trusted account at another bank. I’m not closing my
“@Barclays account. They will have to do that for me.
“We are about to see whether personal belief will affect your ability transact in the future. From my dealings with the other banks in the last three years, there will no doubt be vague mentions of “risk” and “compliance”
“Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Great Britain.
“This sort of thing should worry everyone, right or left.
:Because if they will do it to anyone, they can do it to everyone.”

Or simply this…
I did not speak out?
One person made a point about concerns about persecution.
Jonathan Wong wrote: “First they came for Tommy Robinson, and I did not speak out—because I was not Tommy Robinson. Then they came for Laurence Fox, and I did not speak out—because I was not Laurence Fox. Then they came for the Nigel Farage, and I did not speak out—because I was not Nigel Farage.”
However, another user, Ian Symes, had a very different X-rated take on it, he wrote: “First they came for “Tommy” “Robinson” and I did not speak out, because he’s a c*nt. Then they came for Laurence Fox and I did not speak out, because he’s a c*nt. Then they came for Nigel Farage and I did not speak out, because he’s a massive c&nt. I’m fine with the situation.
Just before we go, Otto English pointed out that once upon a time Lozza was quite the person he appears to hate now…
