A Mail and Spectator columnist made some claims about kidney theft in Turkey and it has been lampooned.
Petronella Wyatt wrote: “I know of two British women in a well known London hospital who came back from Turkey with no kidneys. Their organs were literally stolen while the women were under anesthetic. The deals luring Brits to Istanbul for cosmetic surgery.”
She then said: “I meant minus one kidney each.”

She then added: “I don’t pretend to have medical knowledge and I often make a fool of myself. But the story is true. It came from a senior nurse who works in the hospital.”
Also before we get to the comments, she has a warning, when she tweeted: “Anyone who suggests I had a relationship with Boris Johnson when his wife had cancer will be subjection to a defamation suit. Jeremy Vine has just won one against a Twitter user who made a false allegation against him. The user is now short of £1 K.”
Boris Johnson
There are 17 candidates vying to replace the former prime minister as the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip – from those representing the main parties, to well-known outsiders like Laurence Fox and Piers Corbyn.
The by-election will take place on Thursday – when two more contests will also be held in what could shape up to be a miserable day for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Also a cross-party committee of senior peers has criticised former PM Boris Johnson for bringing the honours system into question.
In a report published earlier this week, the six-member panel, including two former Conservative ministers, noted with disapproval Johnson’s attempts to fill the Lords with his supporters.
