Tory Mayoral candidate Susan Hall is taking on Sadiq Khan.
Hall was voted in with 57 per cent of the vote from Tory members.
Here she is…
Tory Mayoral candidate
The Tories have complained to the Evening Standard about its “contemptible” front-page coverage of the selection of Susan Hall as the Tory candidate to be London’s mayor.
Complaining
As Otto English pointed out: “The letter to the Evening Standard complaining about the photo of Susan Hall is arguably even funnier than the front page.”
Deputy party chairman Nickie Aiken wrote to Evening Standard editor Dylan Jones, saying: “I am writing to you to express my sincere disappointment in your front page today.
“Your choice of photo of Susan Hall is a clear mockery, and it is contemptible, especially as the first female candidate for London mayor from either of the two main parties.”
What does she stand for?
She has promised to halt the ULEZ expansion on day one if she is elected London mayor before turning her attention to “hunting down and locking up” petty criminals.
Her tagline is “Safer with Susan” and during the selection race, she called herself “the candidate Sadiq Khan fears the most”.
Hall has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, tweeting in 2020: “Make sure you win and wipe the smile off [Sadiq Khan’s] face”.
She also compared the former’s presidents’ supporters who stormed the Capitol to “remainers” refusing to accept the result of the Brexit referendum.
