Laurence Fox slams Romesh Ranganathan and, as ever, Fox was the one who ended up looking stupid.
It comes as London Mayor Sadiq Khan tweeted: “Tackling violence against women and girls in the capital is one of my biggest priorities as mayor.
“Last year, City Hallâs #HaveAWord campaign urged men and boys to challenge sexist behaviour and misogynistic attitudes. Now weâre giving them the word to say: #Maaate“
He followed that tweeting: “If your friendâs language or behaviour was crossing a line, would you know how to step in? My new campaign, Say #Maaate to a Mate, is a single word to stop misogynistic language in its tracks. Get involved.”
It was picked up by comedian Romesh Ranganathan who made the point during his set. It was a serious point, mixed in with his usual brand of amazing humour.

He also shared this under the same hashtag #Maaate writing: In the 1940’s, males faked their age to fight in WWII. In 2023, males pretend to be female to win sports.’
