Then there is this…
Jon Kay on BBC News asked: “We’re all trying to get our heads around this. 100s more licenses to get oil & gas out of the North Sea… so how do you square that with reducing our reliance on fossil fuels?”
Tory MP Andrew Bowie said: “”This is absolutely in line with our net zero commitments..”
Oil
The prime minister insists plans to grant “hundreds” of new licences off the coast of Scotland are “entirely consistent” with the government’s net zero goals. But one of his MPs warns he will be on “the wrong side of history”.
It comes as Downing Street announced plans to grant hundreds of new oil and gas licences off the coast of Scotland to “boost British energy independence” and “reduce reliance on hostile states”.

Susie Dent has pulled a word out and it is a classic.

Is she really talking about the PM, you decide?!
