Dan Wootton who writes a column for the Mail online, often seen on morning television, former Sun hack and GB News presenter has been suspended as serious allegations have finally be brought to his door.
Byline Times broke the story a number of weeks ago but it seemed there was a media blackout, and the story might not break through.
At the same time the Huw Edwards story was everywhere.
As you can follow in Tweet (X) below they have been working on this story for a long time now.
The publication claims The Sun and Mailonline hid the claims while attacking Huw Edwards and the BBC.
Dan Wootton suspended
Dan has been put on leave while allegations he used a pseudonym and offered colleagues money for sexual images are investigated.
He has faced weeks of these very troubling allegations including claims he paid for video footage of people carrying out sexual activities. It’s also alleged he used a false name to get hold of sexually compromising images of others.
The GB News presenter, who has written a regular column for MailOnline since 2021, claimed to be the victim of a “witch hunt” after being accused of using fake online identities to trick men into sending him explicit images for tens of thousands of pounds.

Errors of judgement
Wootton has denied any criminal wrongdoing, although he has admitted to “errors of judgment in the past”.
He still hosted the Dan Wootton Tonight programme on GB News as scheduled on last night without reference to the suspension.
However, on July 17, Dan did address the claims, saying: “As you probably don’t know, because you’re not insane enough to pay attention to the cesspit of social media, these past few days I have been the target of a smear campaign by nefarious players with an axe to grind. Notably, by an ex-partner who I was previously abused by – something I have never spoken about publicly before, by the way – who has been on a campaign to destroy my life.”
A spokesperson for DMG Media, which publishes MailOnline, told the PA news agency: “We are continuing to consider a series of allegations which Dan Wootton – who has written columns for MailOnline since 2021 as one of several outside freelance contributors – has strenuously denied.
“The allegations are obviously serious but also complex and historic and there is an independent investigation underway at the media group which employed him during the relevant period.
“In the meantime, his freelance column with MailOnline has been paused.”
