The government has flushed away the idea of a “Lavatory Tsar.”
It seems that the climbdown occurred after it was mercilessly mocked for its new public toilets strategy.
The main ideas was to address the closure of public toilets, but it has also been pulled in the gender neutral toilet row and the ‘war on woke.’
“A Lavatory Tsar? Another gimmick that would be utterly self-defeating.
“John Major’s ‘cones hotline’ was considered the gold-standard idea for a government out of ideas – this notion has been equally mocked’, wrote Tom Peck in the Independent and it is hard to argue with.

Also, the government weighed into a fresh “culture war” row over bathrooms, announcing plans to crack down on gender-neutral toilets.
New shops, public buildings and offices will be ordered to provide single-sex facilities, as Rishi Sunak and Kemi Badenoch wade into the “war on woke” row with transgender rights groups on the issue.
Badenoch said that the widespread switch to gender-neutral toilets had removed the “fundamental right” of women and girls to “privacy, dignity and safety”.
“It is important that everybody has privacy and dignity when using public facilities,” said Badenoch. “Yet the move towards ‘gender-neutral’ toilets has removed this fundamental right for women and girls.”
