Back to Hogwarts day brings Harry Potter fans flying into the capital, as London becomes a wizards dreamland.
It comes as an ultra rare Harry Potter book could sell for ÂŁ12k after surviving a fire.
Why is it a thing?
The day marks the departure of the Hogwarts Express from platform nine-and-three-quarters in the Potter books and films, as you will already know!
Thousands of fans will gather to mark the occasion, expect many to be wearing robes from Hogwarts houses Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
Kings Cross will be swamped by fans, more than usual!
I walked past the famous platform, last week, and the queues were longer than ever.
When is it?
VERY soon, It is on the same day as every year…September 1st
Only a few days away.
Kings Cross
From September 1 to 3, Kingâs Cross train station is to be taken over by all things Harry Potter.
Fans will be able to do things like have a glass of Butterbeer, have a go on computer games, enjoy Lego Harry Potter giveaways (free stuff, yeh!) and even take part in photo opportunities.
Spare a thought for people trying to actually get a train!
As Wizarding world write: “It’s also your chance to meet other Harry Potter fans (watch out for some killer outfits! The magnificent wizard robes are usually out in force!) and simply take in the fantastic atmosphere. And! The festivities are on all weekend, so if you canât come on one day, Kingâs Cross Station will be Harry Potter-fied until the 3rd September.”
However, if you happen to be in Italy then from September 1st-2nd, an immersive area will come to life at Milan Central Station!
