Venom 3 is coming soon, the third instalment in the series based on the Marvel Comics character.
The Venom film series is based on the Marvel Comics character Venom, an antihero and sometimes villainous counterpart to Spider-Man.
The series is part of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man Universe and is separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Venom 3
Superstar Tom Hardy is lined up to reprise his role as rough reporter turned alien symbiote creature Venom.
This will be Hardy’s final stint having previously called Venom 3 the character’s “last dance.”
The title is not yet known, but we will go with Venom 3 for now!
This alternate storyline has so far favoured villains or anti-heroes over traditional do-gooders, with Reuben Fleischer’s original Venom kicking things off in 2018, followed by Andy Serkis’ Let There Be Carnage sequel in 2021 and Daniel Espinosa’s Morbius in 2022.
Release date
It will land in American cinemas on Friday, 12 July, 2024.
This is three months earlier than its originally planned release date of October 2024.
In the UK it is likely the film will drop in July as well.
Both Venom films are streaming on Netflix if you want to catch up with the first two.
As, ever the WGA/SAG AFTRA strikes are pushing back releases of TV and film.
