Michael J Fox Parkinson’s battle
The actor, who was diagnosed aged 29, said advancing disease had caused him a string of injuries but he was still able to remain optimistic.
CBS Sunday Morning shared a new interview and wrote: “TOMORROW: Anchor Jane Pauley, talks with “Family Ties” and “Back to the Future” star Michael J. Fox about superstardom, raising $1.5 billion for Parkinson’s research, and a new documentary tracing his life, called “Still.” (This story was originally broadcast on April 30, 2023.)”
However, he admits it is getting harder: “I’m not gonna lie. It’s gettin’ hard, it’s gettin’ harder. It’s gettin’ tougher,” Fox told CBS Sunday Morning anchor Jane Pauley.
“Every day it’s tougher. But, but, that’s, that’s the way it is. I mean, you know, who do I see about that?”
62nd Birthday
On June 9th Brian Krassenstien sharedd a picture of the Back to the Future cast and wrote: “Happy 62nd Birthday to Michael J. Fox. This is such a great picture of the cast from Back to the Future. Although it makes me feel old, it also makes me happy. Thank you Michael for all that you have done to help spread awareness of Parkinson’s and for establishing the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. You have been an inspiration to many. Growing up I had a next door neighbor who suffered from Parkinson’s. I watched as she lost control of her body and felt as though she was almost trapped within her own body. A cure for this disease can not come soon enough, and thanks to you, we will likely get there sooner, rather than later.”
Here is an interview from 1985 with the star.
Micheal Warburton shared the clip and wrote: “MICHAEL J. FOX talks with Johnny Carson in 1985 about makin’ it, spendin’ it and enjoyin’ it. Always thought Michael a real decent dude. I wish him so much well in his continuing battle with Parkinson’s.”
