Jeremy Corbyn told LBC that Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer was not being inclusive enough, and also said we should tax the super rich more.
Fair share
He told LBC’s Ian Dale, that there is nothing wrong with asking the very wealthiest in our society to pay their fair share.
Corbyn said he didn’t mean people in London and South East who may find that their property might now be worth a million pounds due to house price inflation.
He gave a limit of people with over £10 million pounds, and said he had tried to persuade the CBI it was a good idea.
The former Labour leader said he asked the senior business group members what they thought when they walked past homeless people on their way to work in the morning.
Corbyn Starmer
On the subject of Labour leader Keir Starmer he said that: “I don’t think he’s being inclusive enough.”
LBC shared the link and wrote: “Former Labour leader @jeremycorbyn criticises Keir Starmer’s new front bench, saying the electorate is being given ‘less and less of an alternative’ to the Conservatives.”
