Ethan Hawke has spoken out about filming his own daughter in graphic sex scenes in upcomig film Wildcat.
The biopic, starring the Stranger Things actress, and Hawke’s daughter Maya, tells the story of the late Southern author Flannery O’Connor as she attempts to publish her first book.
Ethan Hawke responds
The Dead Poets Society actor told Variety “We were so comfortable with it. I couldn’t care less.”
“If someone wants to criticise us for working together, that’s totally fair,” added Ethan Hawke. “You have to let people have their opinion. You just have to try to do a good job when you’re onstage.”
Daughter Maya said she had “moments of insecurity” about starring in a movie directed by her own dad.
“My dad has been a massive teacher for me, and we want to work together. We like being with each other,” she said.
