Amber Heard Aquaman 2 claims that her role was âpaired down,â as the actress has put it, but is this true?
During her trial with ex-husband Jonny Depp, if you missed it then catch up yourself, she said, âI was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character â without giving any spoilers away â two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch out.â
Director responds
So how did the director James Wan respond to this accusation?
Well he told EW recently, âI always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first Aquaman was Arthur (Jason Mamoa) and Meraâs (Heard) journey.
“The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm (Patrick Wilson).
“So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie. Weâll leave it at that.â
So I guess we will, Heard’s role was just not ever going to be that major in the sequel, you have to take him on his word.
Also, former DC boss Walter Hamada seemingly backs up the story. Hamada called it a âbuddy-comedyâ sequel, with Momoa and Wilson as âco-leads.â
