AI St James’ Park images are amazing but the town planners might have something to say about them!
History
St. James’ Park is an integral part of Newcastle United’s identity and culture, and it remains a historic and beloved venue for football enthusiasts.
It has witnessed numerous memorable moments in football history and continues to be a symbol of pride for the city of Newcastle and its football fans.
St. James’ Park has a long history dating back to the late 19th century. It was officially opened as a football stadium in 1892, although football had been played at the site since the 1880s.
On August 23rd 2023 the stadium marked its 23rd anniversary of the first competitive game at the extended stadium.
At the time, X account Magpie 24/7, wrote: “Construction of the ‘Cathedral on the hill’ was completed back in 2000, at a reported cost of just £43m. The redevelopment took the stadium’s seating capacity north of 52,000 and gave St. James’ Park the famous silhouette we know today. Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the first competitive game at the extended stadium, a 3-2 victory over Derby.”
There have also been reports that Newcastle plan to expand St James’ Park capacity up to 65,000.
Thirteen thousand extra seats could be built if the club can extend the Gallowgate and East Stand to the height of the Leazes and Milburn.
Image generation
This week Adobe said it is rolling out new image-generation technology that can draw inspiration from an uploaded image and match its style, in its latest push to compete with startups challenging its core business.
Image-generating technology from firms like Midjourney and Stable Diffusion have threatened Adobe’s customer base of creative professionals who use its tools like Photoshop, reported Reuters.
