A Question Time audience member suggested puncturing migrant boats and has been slammed for her cruel comment.

It comes as Rishi Sunak wants to declare the Rwanda a safe destination for asylum seekers and so side step concerns set out in this week’s highly damaging Supreme Court verdict, which was highly critical of the plan.
The Prime Minister and his cabinet have been forced to go back to the drawing board – but one Question Time audience member had a plan to deter migrants.
On last night’s show she said: “What I think should be done is, you see all the migrants and the pirates putting them on the boats, why can’t the French have like a knife or something and just do it before it even gets in the water.”
The woman stood by her idea, adding: “Then the boats wouldn’t even be in the water for them to drown.”
When presenter Fiona Bruce pointed out that “a long coastline” making it “difficult” to be “in the right place at the right time” to even be able to undertake this action.
The audience member then replied: “You see them on television, where there’s a drone and they’re watching everybody coming out…”

This was one of MANY shocked and bemused reactions, with one person writing, in sarcastic tones: “Could we knife the migrant boats? What about using drones… that release bees? Maybe we could let hundreds of XL Bullies loose on the beaches? Limited nuclear strikes? Anyone? Anyone?! #bbcqt“
