However, after shooting Ace Venture 2: When Nature Calls in 1995, Carrey vowed to stop creating sequels to his movies for a very long time, later declaring:
“I find sequels are a product of capitalism for the most part. At least the two I’ve played were characters I enjoyed playing, but at that time I almost felt like I was repeating myself.”

The character first appeared in the 1957 children’s book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” The Grinch is a green, furry creature with a heart “two sizes too small” who lives on the snowy Mount Crumpit, just north of Whoville.
