Home Alone history – Spoilers Alert
Here are the main films in the Home Alone series:
- Home Alone (1990): The original film directed by Chris Columbus stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister. Kevin is accidentally left behind when his family goes on a Christmas vacation to Paris. He must defend his home from burglars Harry and Marv, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.
- Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992): This sequel, also directed by Chris Columbus, sees Kevin accidentally boarding a plane to New York instead of joining his family on a trip to Florida. Kevin once again finds himself alone, this time in the Big Apple. Harry and Marv return for another attempt at burglary.
- Home Alone 3 (1997): This film takes a different direction with a new cast and characters. Alex D. Linz plays Alex Pruitt, a young boy who defends his home from international criminals after mistakenly receiving a top-secret microchip.
