Have you seen many positive Brexit outcomes articles? Nope, us neither.
Another article, this time in the Times, by Simon Nixon, is the latest to slam leaving the EU and how the UK government is dealing with it
He shared the article and wrote: “Brexiteers always insisted Brexit was a process, not an event. They were right. The danger is that it is a process that is only going one way. My latest.”
Here is one passage from the piece: “What makes this anniversary so striking is that it comes as polls show a commanding majority now think that Brexit has been a costly mistake. While Brexit is not the primary cause of Britain’s current economic troubles, it has unquestionably made them worse. It is the only major economy whose GDP is still below pre-pandemic levels, while its trade performance has significantly underperformed that of comparable countries.”
Prof Brian Cox
This is Professor Brian Cox’s take on this new article.
He shared it and wrote: “Every credible column I read on Brexit is unrelentingly grim. Both Conservative and Labour approaches to mitigating the damage seem to me to be textbook sunk cost fallacy. Turd polishing as policy.”
