Police in Coventry are investigating a drive-by shooting that took place on Far Gosford Street in the early hours of Sunday, November 17. Shots were reportedly fired at 2.15am, with gunfire believed to have been aimed at a car by occupants of a black BMW.
No Injuries Reported
Both vehicles involved quickly left the scene, and no injuries have been reported. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage as part of their efforts to identify those responsible.
Police Statement
Chief Inspector Dave Amos of Coventry Police expressed concern over the incident, stating:
“An incident like this in our city centre concerns us all, and our teams are committed to identifying and detaining those responsible. Such violence has no place on our streets. We have increased patrols in the area, so please speak to us if you need reassurance or can assist with our enquiries.”
Appeal for Witnesses
Police have urged anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with information. Drivers are also being asked to check their dashcam footage for anything that could aid the investigation.
