Hillary Clinton only needed six words to sum up Donald Trump’s stance on Vladimir Putin—and they hit hard.
Trump’s defence secretary under fire
On Sunday, Clinton shared a Gizmodo report on X (formerly Twitter). The article revealed that Trump’s newly appointed defence secretary, Pete Hegseth, had reportedly ordered US Cyber Command to halt all planning against Russia—including digital countermeasures.
The timing couldn’t be worse for Trump. His Oval Office tirade against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already sparked major backlash.
During their heated exchange, Trump echoed Russian talking points, despite the undeniable fact that Putin launched the war in February 2022—not Ukraine.
As criticism mounted, an old 2016 presidential debate clip resurfaced, showing Clinton warning the world about Trump’s ties to Russia. The internet didn’t waste time making sure it went viral again.
