French senator Claude Malhuret isn’t mincing his words. His speech in the French Senate has gone viral, and for good reason. In just eight minutes, he tore into Donald Trump, his ties to Vladimir Putin, and the chaos Elon Musk is fuelling on social media.
Trump, he warned, is actively undermining democracy—both in the US and around the world. Meanwhile, Musk? He’s nothing more than a “ketamine-fuelled jester” enabling the destruction.
‘We’re Fighting a Dictator Backed by a Traitor’
Malhuret didn’t hold back. He accused Trump of siding with America’s enemies while turning his back on long-time allies.
“Never in history has a President of the United States capitulated to the enemy,” he said, slamming Trump’s bizarre loyalty to Putin and public humiliation of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He then dropped a brutal line:
“We were at war with a dictator. Now we’re fighting a dictator backed by a traitor.”
Trump’s ‘Shipwreck’ Will Embolden China
According to Malhuret, Trump’s weakness doesn’t just threaten Europe. It’s also emboldening China’s leader, Xi Jinping. Instead of standing strong, Trump’s approach is a “shipwreck” that could speed up China’s invasion of Taiwan.
Meanwhile, Musk—who now controls a massive chunk of social media—is helping Trump’s movement thrive.
Europe Needs to Step Up
Malhuret made one thing clear: Europe can’t rely on the US anymore. With Trump weakening NATO and refusing to back Ukraine, it’s time for Europe to defend itself.
That means:
✅ More military aid to Ukraine
✅ Using frozen Russian assets to fund support
✅ Building Europe’s own military alliance
“Our parents defeated fascism and communism at great cost. The task of our generation is to defeat the totalitarianisms of the 21st century.”
His final words? A rallying cry for democracy.
“Long live free Ukraine. Long live democratic Europe.”
