Liz Truss ‘the comeback’ is the remake nobody wanted or ever asked for.
You wonder if her media people are just in it for the cheque and will vanish as quickly as her comeback.
She blamed the left-wing economic system for ruining her time as PM in The Telegraph on Sunday.
Spectator
Now she has appeared talking to the Spectator quite willing to throw her old ally Kwasi-Kwarteng under the bus.
Speaking to Spectator Editor Fraser Nelson and Katy Balls, she admitted her premiership was “tough” but she “just sort of got on with it”.
“I went in with a very clear agenda about what we needed to deliver,” she said, but “events took place which I wasn’t expecting”.
Anna Soubry didn’t much care for it, she wrote: “Truss’s interview with @Spectator is toe curling awful. It exposes her as utterly unsuitable to hold high office never mind be our Prime Minister. Tells you much about the state of the Conservative Party that it foisted Truss on us & she still has many supporters.”
Scary
This is simply terrifying.
