Liz Truss is back in the news and spouting off and it has led to comedy legend and creator of The Thick of It, Armando Iannucci , to respond to a question about the current political situation and his own famous political satire series.
In an interview with the Spectator’s Katy Balls and Fraser Nelson, Ms Truss said she was “positive” about the future of the UK and her party, and she would be supporting Rishi Sunak.
She then threw Kwasi Kwarteng under the bus.
Also she said she wants to remain an MP but was “not desperate to get back into Number 10”, and she isn’t planning on playing for Barcelona either…
One Twitter user wrote: “Your reboot of The Thick of It looks great.”
Comedy legend and creator of many hit shows, including The Thick of It Armando Iannucci replied and wrote: “No it doesn’t. It looks apocalyptically grim.”
Oh dear. Well, to cheer you up, sort of this parody of liz Truss is going viral!
