Volodymyr Zelensky parliament speech

President Zelensky is beginning his address to great applause. He is speaking in English and says he’s here to represent Ukrainian warriors.

He was given a thunderous welcome at Westminster Hall.

Speaking of his country, Zelensky says Ukraine “will always come out on top of evil”, which is met with another round of applause.

“This lies at the core of our, and also your, traditions,” he tells MPs watching on in Westminster Hall.

It was a barnstorming speech where everyone seems to be in unity, for once.

Zelensky is remarkable. The most charismatic speaker we've seen in parliament for years, despite speaking in a foreign language. But more importantly for the clarity of the moral message he is delivering.
