Last week the Daily Mail was furious about God perhaps not being a He, today it has uncovered a Brexit plot, and they are NOT happy about it.
The summit, revealed by the Observer was attended by minister Michael Gove, who is a former co-leader of the official Brexit campaign, and senior members of Keir Starmer’s shadow cabinet.
It is claimed that they were also joined by diplomats, defence experts and heads of major businesses.
The event was held under the banner: “How can we make Brexit work better with our neighbours in Europe?”
GB news aren’t happy…
Lord Frost
In response, Lord Frost he UK’s urged ministers to “fully and enthusiastically embrace the advantages of Brexit”, portraying a private meeting of prominent former leave and remain campaigners to discuss how to move on from Brexit in the national interest as a plot to undermine the deal he struck with the EU.
David Jones, deputy chairman of the European Research Group of Tory MPs, added: ‘The fact that such a meeting was held in conditions of such secrecy must give rise to suspicions as to its purpose.
‘It’s hard to believe that closer constitutional links were not on the agenda.’
And in another warning sign for Downing Street, Nigel Farage – whose Reform UK party is trying to lure Tory MPs defectors and has already won over a number of Conservative councillors – wrote online: ‘The full sell-out of Brexit is under way. This Tory party never believed in it.’
