If the rumours are accurate, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s much awaited big-screen adaptation could arrive shortly.
According to sources cited by the UK tabloid The Sun, Warner Bros, the production company in charge of the Wizarding World franchise, may be considering adapting the two-part play that serves as a prequel to the main narrative.
âWarner Bros are currently looking at how to bring The Cursed Child to the big screen. Since the play’s enormous success in the West End, it has been in their sights. Because of the amount of work being done on the Fantastic Beasts franchise, it was put on hold for a while.”
The source also informed The Sun that before the studio makes an offer to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, there must be scripts in place, despite the fact that everyone wants them to return.
Last year’s Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion episode featured the trio as well as numerous more movie stars and filmmakers.
The author of this franchise, JK Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany collaborated on an original plot that served as the basis for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The events in the final Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, take place 19 years before the events of the play.
