Lawyer Peter Stefanovic noticed something during PMQs that needed to be challenged, as it wasn’t during the session, as ever.
Rishi Sunak kept mentining that he wants to ‘stop the boats’ and ‘stem the tide of illegal crossings.’
It is one of his five pledges, a big deal for him.
However, what has caused this?
The PM doesn’t mention that the rise in small boat crossing is due to Brexit, more specifically Boris Johnson’s “oven ready Brexit deal.”
DUP
It comea as Sammy Wilson, the DUP’s chief whip, urged the government not to abandon the Northern Ireland protocol bill, which is currently on pause in the House of Lords. The bill would allow the UK government to unilaterally ignore parts of the protocol.
Sammy Wilson said: “I believe in these negotiations the EU has to understand that there is an alternative and not to proceed with the protocol bill would be wrong because there must be a fallback position if these negotiations don’t succeed.”
Viral
Peter shared the video and wrote: “This is so important. The Government is using a problem entirely of its own making to con the country into joining Russia & Belarus outside the European Convention on Human Rights. We cannot allow that to happen. Please RT this widely.”
You can read the report Peter mentions via this tweet.
