James Gunn has provided an update on Superman: Legacy.
With the Superman movie relaunch for the new DC Universe being the first project to be unveiled — though unnamed at the time — last December, new DC Studios co-CEO Gunn has been working diligently on the project.
Gunn has updated the status of his Superman: Legacy script in light of the DCU slate announcement, citing the film’s 2025 release date.
It is not surprising that Superman: Legacy is well ahead because Gunn recently disclosed that he was hired to write the future DC Universe Superman movie more than six months ago, long before he rose to the position of senior executive at DC.
Gunn has had plenty of time to write the best story he can, which is ideal because DC needs a successful Superman relaunch.
