In case you missed it Rishi Sunak has sorted out a great deal for Northern Ireland. They are part of EU market and the UK market!
Can we have it then?
Of course not!
Stephen
So it was left to Stephen Flynn, the SNP leader at Westminster, at today’s PMQs to question the PM on this deal.
Flynn said Sunak said yesterday access to the single market was special, exciting and attractive. “Why is Sunak denying it to the rest of the country?”
Rishi Sunak says it is disappointing that Flynn is ‘playing politics’ with this. Northern Ireland has a special place in the UK.
Labour Brexit
He also then said Sunak was more positive about the single market than labour leader Keir Starmer.
“Does it hurt the prime minister to know that the Labour party believes in Brexit more than he does?”
Sunak sayid this is about getting the right mechanisms in place for Northern Ireland, not about the macro issues around Brexit.
Ouch, not good for Starmer either!
One response is spot on: ‘”Playing politics” is always the answer when there is a absolutely no credible honest answer.’
Playing politics eh? Comedy genius Matt Green’s video (below) is a must watch.
