Even before Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hit theatres, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 had been in development for quite some time. Not only will they be providing the third installment, but a Knuckles-focused spin-off series will also be released soon also.
Although the third Sonic movie’s release date is known, no specifics have yet been revealed. We can certainly speculate on some aspects of the third movie, but at this moment, everything is just conjecture.
If there are no delays, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will burst into theatres on December 20, 2024. This was announced in early August 2022, which is a little later than fans are used to seeing the Sonic the Hedgehog adventures on the big screen.
