A fresh online rumour claims that a live-action remake of The Princess and the Frog from 2009 is in the works.
The information was provided via a podcast with a Disney theme that is thought to have previously provided some reliable information. Even so, while it wouldn’t exactly come as a huge surprise, it’s better not to place too much stock in this for the time being.
While the rumours have yet to be confirmed, they point to a trend in Disney’s current filmmaking. That is, they would rather make live-action versions of their classic films than create new stories.
