A Conservative politician is being investigated over racist comments after allegedly saying “all white men should have a Black slave”. Now another has been pulled into the mire with comments about the Welsh.
Andrew Edwards, a County councillor and former magistrate in Pembrokeshire, Wales, is also accused of saying Black people are of “lower class” than white people during a clip that has emerged online.
On the 16-second recording, a man can be heard saying: “Nothing wrong with the skin colour at all. (…) I think all white men should have a Black man as a slave or Black woman as a slave, you know.”
“There’s nothing wrong with skin colour, it’s just that they’re lower class than us white people.”

Now a prominent young Tory politician has sparked outrage by describing living in Wales as ‘vile’ and saying that Welsh people ‘have lower IQs’.
Jasmin Cogin failed to be elected a councillor in Cardiff last year, coming fifth with 737 votes.
She denounced the Welsh capital in a video on social media.
The 23-year-old Brit was blasted by rival politicians who demanded she apologise for the video, which was accompanied by the text: ‘Welsh people have lower IQs. Sorry not sorry.’
The qualified lawyer says: ‘Does anyone get really frustrated at how uninspiring and how uncreative and how boring people generally are?
‘I just don’t understand. I mean, obviously I predominantly spend all of my time – the majority of my time in Cardiff now because of my job – and I find it so tough to find someone who is intellectually on my level and who is actually witty and inspired and incredibly driven.
‘Like, people are just so OK with mediocrity in Wales and it’s vile to be around. It’s disgusting.’
