John Redwood, for it is he, is one of the most wayward (to put it very nicely) politicians of his generation.
A darling of the Brexiters and far-right of Tory party, he says some really cringeworthy tweets on social media on a regular basis.
He even went to try and become the PM once!
This tweet one is no different.
Re-watch
Before we get to that, this video is worth a re-watch
Here is it:
John wrote: “Met Office says we have had more frosts this April than any of the last 60 years. Why lots of cold weather and no climate?”
His comments come as wildlife presenter Chris Packham has made a rallying call for “every last person who cares” about the planet to join Extinction Rebellion after thousands took part in a demonstration over the weekend.
Packham spoke to the crowd from a stage close to Parliament Square, Westminster, during the second day of a mass protest the climate group has called “The Big One”.
Around 50,000 people are expected to join the action between April 21-24, which has garnered support from more than 200 organisations including Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth.
Chria retweeted this tweet, Dave Goulson wrote: “Huge crowds in London yesterday for peaceful The Big One #Earthday environmental protest, but sadly little coverage in mainstream media (Guardian excepted). Compare to huge coverage of disruptive events by @JustStop_Oil. What message does this send? #UniteToSurvive“
