Prince Harry is on mission to bring the MSM to account for phone hacking and gathering information unlawfully.
Now the publisher of the Mirror has apologised to Prince Harry for unlawful information gathering, at the start of a trial over alleged phone hacking.
Piers Morgan has also been mentioned in court, and it will increase pressure on him, more of that later.
Deny phone hacking
The Mirror Group admitted in court that the publisherâs titles used unlawful information gathering techniques to find out confidential information about Harry and Nikki Sanderson and comedian Paul Whitehouseâs ex-wife Fiona Wightman.
However, MGN still denies that they hacked the claimantâs phones and also argues that the claims have been brought beyond the statutory limit, so can’t be prosecuted.

A previous hearing was told Harry’s case is that 148 articles published between 1996 and 2010 included information that was allegedly obtained through methods including phone hacking.
The legal challenge brought by the prince “warrants compensation”, admitted the publishing group.

Harry is party to actions linked to alleged phone hacking against two other companies – the publisher of the Daily Mail, and the publisher of the Sun, both of which deny wrongdoing.

“The scale and extent of the unlawful methods were used so frequently they were an integral part of their modus operandi, the obvious go to for every story”, David Sherborne, the barrister representing Prince Harry said.
“Journalists, desk heads, deputy editors and editors themselves, including Piers Morgan, used or ordered the use of, the unlawful means,” he said.
