Well, on person on Twitter, Sim Crowther tweeted: his thoughts on who is actually holding the government to account at the moment.

Fair enough it is a light-hearted tweet, with maybe a bit of truth behind it?
Anger to ‘true’ opposition
One reply said: “None of them wish to change a thing about how we order our economy, and that is the root of all our problems. So no, I can’t agree with you.”
Sim replied: “Cheer up Chris. 3 of them are comedians fer chrissakes!”
Another said: “It’s a decent list but I would counter with: Bernie Clifton Ernst Kaltenbrunner Ken Dodd Rustie Lee Captain Caveman Bobby Riggs The Smurfs.”
He replied: “Captain Caveman straight to Defence presumably.”
Another simply said: ‘all idiots.’
He replied: “Not a fan of comedy and fishing then Mark?”
Another chipped in: “I used to have admiration for some of those people especially Chris Packham who has Asperger’s. Still, a salary from a TV station- it’s probably hard not to go along with the narrative…traitors.”
Again he replied, this time with: “Give your head a wobble! You just called Paul Whitehouse, a bloke who makes a fishing programme and is one of the most talented comedy performers of his generation, a ‘traitor’. Weirdo.”
Sarah wasn’t happy with the list: “All woke hypocrites,” she wrote.
Crowther replied: “Deep breaths Sarah. You don’t need to take it seriously.”
Threw towel in
As the replies flooded in, he had to take a step back, can’t blame him really.
However, he summed up the reaction to the tweet, concluding: “The wider this light hearted tweet goes, the more heavy-hearted, misery-laden oddballs feel the need to comment.”
He did have a lot of support as well as you can see from this example.
