Kurt Wimmer’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Children of the Corn has released its first trailer, which is chock-full of gory pictures, murderous kids, and, of course, foreboding cornfields.
Children of the Corn, based on the short story by King that Wimmer adapted, portrays a 12-year-old girl in Nebraska who becomes possessed by a spirit in a fading cornfield.
She gathers the other kids in her little town to go on a gruesome killing spree, eliminating all the parents and everyone else who stands in her way.
The only person who can save the community is a talented high school student who won’t follow the plan.
