It was announced earlier this year that Marvel Studios was working on a live-action project starring Nova, but it wasn’t clear if it would be a theatrical release or a Disney+ series.
But now, Daniel Richtman, who is claiming that this project would be a Disney+ series, has maybe provided some fresh information.
Sabir Pirzada, who wrote the screenplay for the movie “Moon Knight,” has been hired for the project.
According to a recent rumour, Nova will make her MCU debut in a Disney+ series rather than a movie. The addition of Nova to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has long been predicted; the superhero has ties to the galactic Guardians of the Galaxy series through the Nova Corps. Although a Nova project has been known to be in the works for some time, it has not yet been determined whether it will be a film, television special, or a series.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Nova will be a Disney+ series. The revised MCU Phase 5 show release strategy, which was disclosed in the article, is causing the show’s present delayed progress.
In the comic book, Richard Rider, who was picked at random to join the Nova Corps before the Annihilation Wave wiped them all, is known as Nova. He fights for justice as a lone vigilante under the direction of the incredibly smart Worldmind computer.
As the Guardians of the Galaxy pair up with the Nova Corps to fight the Kree on the planet of Xandar in the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie, Marvel has already started laying the groundwork for the entry of Nova into the MCU. Also, we learned that Xandar was destroyed in “Infinity War,” possibly paving the way for Richard Rider to portray “Nova” in the MCU.
