With the confirmation that Christopher Landon will be directing, the progress of the Arachnophobia remake has just scuttled a lot further.
Arachnophobia, a 1990 family horror film directed by Frank Marshall, has benefitted greatly from the passage of time. Although the movie did rather well at the box office upon its initial release, it was also thought to have underperformed.
It turns out that people are genuinely terrified of spiders and didn’t necessarily want to go to the movies to see them.
Nevertheless, the film’s fan following has grown over the years, and today we are at the stage where a remake project was started a year or two ago.
Additionally, we now know that it has a director, which is great news.
Casting and shooting information are still a ways off, but we’ll let you know as soon as we learn more.
