We’re still waiting impatiently for more of one of the most exciting dramas to emerge from 2021. We’re talking about Yellowjackets on Showtime, the programme that had us all hooked last winter.
As more information about the plot steadily leaks into the news, people are already anticipating Season 2.
The show, which follows a ladies’ soccer team as they scavenge in full survival mode after a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness in the mid-1990s, has received some new cast announcements for the sophomore season from Showtime, most significantly the debut date.
The network renewed Yellowjackets for a third season ahead of the Season 2 premiere this spring. Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and Paramount Media Networks, confirmed the news to Variety “With Yellowjackets’ runaway success in Season 1 and the pent-up anticipation for Season 2, we wanted to maximize the momentum by fast tracking Season 3 now,” McCarthy said.
Yellowjackets Season 2 will premiere March 24, 2023 on Showtime.
