Brightburn 2 AI

So why all the fury about the sequel?

The production company “intends to incorporate new technology into the production process of projects it has in development, including a sequel to horror movie Brightburn.”

According to Deadline, The H Collective, the production company, has always been known for its innovative approaches to filmmaking.

In a nutshell they are using aspects of AI to write the film.

It is not a great look as writers and actors are continuing to strike against the use of AI, creeping into the industry.

So is the sequel such a divisive issue or just simply where the industry (and the world is going)?

Using CGI in films never got this backlash though, as the power of AI is quite scary.

But can AI truly capture the emotions that make a story resonate with audiences?

Only time will tell….unless the strike never ends.

Brightburn 1 -Spoilers Alert

The 2019 superhero horror film Brightburn was directed by David Yarovesky and produced by James Gunn. The film is a dark take on the superhero genre and explores the question of what would happen if a super-powered being, in this case, a young boy named Brandon Breyer, used his abilities for evil rather than good.

The story revolves around Brandon, who crash-lands on Earth as a baby and is raised by a loving family. However, as he enters adolescence, he begins to discover his superhuman powers and uses them to commit violent and sinister acts. The film blends elements of horror and superhero storytelling, creating a tense and disturbing atmosphere.
