Daisy Ridley has spoken about her role in the upcoming Star Wars movie.
Ridley talked to Collider, telling the publication she was very nervous when she appeared at London’s Star Wars Celebration.
It was at that event where it was announced that she would star in the new film, to the delight of Star Wars fans and herself…sort of!

“I was sh**ting myself before I went on stage, because no one knew I was going to that,” she said. “No one knew I was going to Celebration, bar like [Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy] and there were a couple of people. I was so nervous. Oh my god.”
She added, “It was such a wonderful reception. I’m very excited. The story is really cool.“
Ridley was also asked if the she thought the new Star Wars film would be the beginning of a trilogy.
The actor said she’s only aware of one storyline so far.
She said: “I know the storyline for one film. That’s not to say that that’s all it is, but that’s what I was told about. And I imagine it will be the next film, I think. I mean, again, I don’t know, post strikes and everything, how quickly everything will start up again. But yes, so far, I know the story of one film and I think people will be very excited.”

Ophelia (2018): Ridley took on the lead role of Ophelia in this reimagining of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”
Chaos Walking (2021): Ridley starred alongside Tom Holland in this science fiction film based on Patrick Ness’s novel, playing the character Viola Eade.
