Dublin, Wicklow, and Limerick were the locations where the Academy Award winner filmed sequences for the newest supernatural horror movie last summer.
The Pope’s Exorcist is based on the true account of Fr. Gabriele Amorth, a priest located in the Vatican, who performed over 100,000 exorcisms before passing away in 2016 at the age of 91.
The movie was helmed by Julius Avery and opens in theatres here on April 7. The Pope is portrayed by Franco Nero, and the demon is voiced by Ralph Inerson.
