The much-anticipated Phineas and Ferb Season 5 is on the way, and the series creators have just released teaser art for the upcoming revival. According to Variety, co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will share more information about the new season during a panel at New York Comic-Con. The show’s fourth season ended in 2015, but fans can now look forward to 40 new episodes in Season 5, which was green-lit by Disney in 2023.
The Show’s Legacy
Phineas and Ferb, which originally aired in 2008, follows the step-brothers on their summer adventures. The series has already inspired two movies: Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension (2011) and Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020).
Returning Cast and Teasers
Fans can expect familiar voices in the new season. Vincent Martella, the voice of Phineas Flynn, and David Errigo Jr., the current voice of Ferb Fletcher, will be part of the revival. Errigo took over the role from Thomas Brodie-Sangster in 2020.
Other returning cast members include Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro. Dan Povenmire will return as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will reprise his role as Major Francis Monogram.
Disney has also teased that guest stars from various fields—actors, musicians, athletes, and more—will appear in Season 5.
First Episode Complete
Earlier in October, Povenmire shared on Instagram that the first episode of Season 5 is complete. He posted a photo of the crew celebrating in front of a screen displaying the Phineas and Ferb logo. “The first episode of Phineas and Ferb Season 5 is officially in the can,” he wrote in the caption.
Release Date Uncertain
Though the series was confirmed for a revival in 2023, Povenmire has not announced an exact release date. The fifth season is expected to debut on Disney Channel and Disney+ sometime in 2025.
Loved by Kids and Adults Alike
Phineas and Ferb is a hit with both children and adults. CBR named it one of the top 10 kids’ shows that adults love too, praising the strong relationship between Phineas and Ferb. The series encourages viewers to live in the moment and make the most of every day—lessons that resonate with fans of all ages.
All four seasons and the two Phineas and Ferb movies are currently available to stream on Disney+.
