A trailer for the upcoming Living With Chucky documentary from Child’s Play has been made available by Cinedigm and Bloody Disgusting. The documentary delves deeply into the slasher genre and traces its development over the past three decades. Fans of the series shouldn’t pass up this opportunity to see the movie.
From the viewpoint of a filmmaker who grew up with the Child’s Play franchise, Life with Chucky “looks closely at the revolutionary Child’s Play series.
This intimate documentary details the commitment, creativity, and sacrifice that went into creating the franchise and its lasting influence on the horror community.
It includes interviews with members of the cast and crew including Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, and creator Don Mancini, among many others.
The three-foot terror known as Chucky, who burst into popular culture in the late 1980s, demonstrated that Child’s Play was anything but six sequels, a TV show, a reboot, comic novels, a computer game, and merchandising were later produced for the horror movie.
Kyra Elise Gardner, the daughter of renowned special effects artist Tony Gardner, who served as Chucky’s puppeteer in multiple films, wrote and directed the documentary.
On April 4 in the US and Canada, the movie will make its debut on the horror streaming service Screambox as well as on all significant digital platforms.
