Pokémon: Detective Pikachu 2 is officially happening, but the first film’s star, Justice Smith, isn’t sure if he’ll be back for the sequel.
Smith played Tim Goodman, a former aspiring Pokémon trainer who teams up with Ryan Reynolds’ Pikachu to find his missing father.
Detective Pikachu was a commercial and critical success, beloved by fans, and a sequel has been announced.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Smith revealed he is unsure whether he’ll be involved in the project.
“I’ve heard that, yes. I want more of it too! That’s a really good question. I don’t know if there is going to be a reunion,” Smith said.
“I’ve heard rumors that they might be doing a second one, but I don’t know if I’m a part of it.”
