Maleficent 3 could be on its way claims a poster, so excitement levels have increased.
However, is this for real?
Maleficent 3
As we know Maleficent is a live-action fantasy film series produced by Walt Disney Pictures.
The franchise is centers around the character Maleficent, who is a reimagined version of the iconic Disney villain from the 1959 animated classic, “Sleeping Beauty.”
The films explore her backstory and provide a different perspective on the events of the original fairy tale.
The Maleficent film series has added depth and complexity to the character of Maleficent while reimagining a classic Disney fairy tale.
It has been praised for its visuals, Angelina Jolie’s performance, and its ability to subvert traditional fairy tale tropes.
The franchise has resonated with audiences who appreciate a fresh take on familiar stories.
Yesterday, Movie Mingle Zone posted that it was coming soon to Disney +.
However, this sadly doesn’t seem to be the case.
Another on-line fake it appears.
Angelina Jolie certainly seems up for a return, telling the D23 Inside Disney podcast in September 2021: “I love playing Maleficent, she’s like my alter ego,” reported Digital Spy.
Plot spoiler alert!
Ed Skrein’s Borra survived the major battle at the end of the sequel, and he seems keen to return to the character.
“I would love to go back to Borra. I’ve almost never had a character I’ve wanted to go back to before,”
So there appears to be interest from the main stars, and likely Disney themselves, but we don’t have a date, or even confirmation it is in the works.
